After a 7-year hiatus, the iconic Dead of Winter festival made an incredible return on July 27th, taking over Mansfield Tavern in not-so-sunny Brisbane (it IS called Dead of Winter after all)
Luckily, the weather held out, and fans both new and returning were treated to a cavalcade of fantastic acts over almost 13 hours, including but certainly not limited to the 20-odd I was able to catch
I would love to write a detailed review of everyone that I saw but unfortunately between shooting, live posting, remembering to eat half of the amazing eggplant parma on offer (I’m from Melbourne – it’s parmA – FIGHT ME!) running into old friends and making new ones it became a tsunami of awesome that I wasn’t really navigating so much as riding in a white knuckled blur so I cannot offer you that
