Bird’s Robe is thrilled to announce the debut Australia and New Zealand tour of acclaimed Irish post-rock group GOD IS AN ASTRONAUT. The band will perform shows in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland & Wellington In February 2025.
Known globally for their extraordinary live performances, God Is An Astronaut have been a major influence in the experimental rock scene for the past two decades. Their sound and live presentation have laid the blueprint for dozens of bands around the globe.
Formed in 2002, they have released eleven studio albums to date, traversing a broad range of sounds, including psych rock, krautrock, prog, electronica and world music.

Support for this landmark tour in Australia comes from Sydney instrumental quartet SOLKYRI and Melbourne shoegaze group TREEBEARD.
Solkyri are celebrating the release of their latest record ‘Cranebrook.’ Known for their pummelling live performances and tours alongside We Lost The Sea, Trail of Dead, Mew & sleepmakeswaves, the band have maintained a dedicated cult following since their debut in 2010.
Treebeard are touring in support of their new album ‘Snowman.’ The young quartet are building a formidable live reputation for their moody and intense sound, following support slots for Russian Circles and Khan during 2024.
