1. Fit For An Autopsy – “Black Mammoth”

This song and video doesn’t pull any punches, it hits you right in the face with brutal facts about the Dakota Access Pipeline and the protests at Standing Rock.

The power of the music combined with the topic really resonated with me and made me think deeper about effect that big business has on the world. This song also has one of the best break downs ever!

2. Job For A Cowboy – “Tarnished Gluttony”

I absolutely love the intensity of the video, the first time I watched it, I spent the entire time trying to figure out what the hell is actually going on!

The HD video combined with great direction and acting kept my attention for the long running time of over nine minutes.

3. Thy Art Is Murder – “Holy War”

This list would not be complete without mentioning one of the biggest Australian metal acts. In this video nothing is sacred, the band shows exactly why this track is called Holy War.

4. Machine Head – “From This Day”

Machine Head went head first into Nu Metal with this video and I am not ashamed to say this album was the sound track of my 1999.

5. Deftones – “My Own Summer (shove it)”

I always loved the concept of this video, standing on top of shark cages while jamming the fuck out. I assumed it was shot on green screen, but was impressed to find out the band were actually filmed while floating in the middle of a bay, complete with animatronic sharks.
