JBL T450BT – Bluetooth Headphones
A good set of headphones is essential equipment for any metal fan.
I had been rocking a very nice set of Sennheiser earbuds for sometime, until the jack recently broke.
I decided to go for a cheap set of Bluetooth headphones to tide me over until a purchased something a bit more serious.
This is where the JBL T450BT Bluetooth Headphones came in:
Retailing at around $60 (Aus) they are the absolute entry level headphone in the JBL wireless range.
The very first thing you notice when you open the package is how cheap they feel, I mean really cheap. They have a plastic head band and have very little in the way of creature comforts. Overall construction is extremely lite and the buttons felt almost Hollow.
Like most JBL gear, connecting the bluetooth to my device was easy and pain free.
The sound quality on the other hand is surprisingly decent. The bass is strong and the overall clarity was better than I expected.
The battery life is also very good, giving you up to 11 hours between charges.
You can also control your music and calls, I found that the mic was only ok, with most calls suffering from echo.
If you are looking for a easy, no fuss and portable headphones, these are a good choice.
But if you are a audiophile, you might want save your pennies for a higher end headphone.
The good:
- Very affordable price
- Decent sound quality
- Long battery life
- Collapsible design
The bad:
- Very cheap construction
- No creature comforts
- Voice calls suffer from echo
