This watch Wednesday we are celebrating the bad ass character Ripley played by Sigourney Weaver.
The watch that Ripley wears is a SEIKO GIUGIARO 7A28-7000
Also known as the “Aliens” or “Ripley” watch, the design is a collaboration between Seiko and Italian automotive designer Giorgetto Giugiaroto.
The original Seiko 7A28-7000 model was designed in 1983 and released in limited numbers. You can still find reasonably nice second hand examples for sale online but the price can be a little hefty
If you are not able to find an original, you may be able to track down one of the recent re-issued versions from Seiko and Giugiaro.
