Told as a story in ten parts, Bloom’s forthcoming album examines longing, self-indulgence, fantasy, manipulation and despair through the eyes of a character that is constantly challenged by their reality. “Maybe in Another Life contains our heaviest moments and most memorable choruses to date, and brandishes the full range of the sound we have been crafting since we began as a group,” tells vocalist Jono Hawkey.

“Since recording in early 2022, we have been hyper focussed on every element of this release. From visual identity to colour pallets, we have spent countless hours composing a complete body of work that we are extremely proud of.”

Joining forces with long time collaborator Christopher Vernon (Better Half, Belle Haven), new single Maybe In Another Life follows September single Bound To Your Whispers, which explored anxiety and the internal struggle between the voice of reason and the seeds of doubt. Maybe In Another Life touches on the protagonists methods of distracting through fantasy with lyrics that contrast the experience of a sordid existence and the indulgence of what could have been.

Celebrating a mammoth couple of months so far, Bloom will play Good Things Festival this December, kicking off December 1, and will join Sheffield metalcore monsters While She Sleeps as main support on on their surrounding headline dates. Tickets available now via Destroy All Lines

Teaming up with Greyscale for the release of the In Passing EP, Bloom have carved their place in the Australian alternative music space and have since jumped from strength to strength.
