The legendary Infectious Grooveswill be touring Australia at the end of March! The funk-metal supergroup will be appearing at Byron Bay Bluesfest  as well as headlining their own massive headline shows in Melbourne Brisbane, Adelaide and Sydney!

Joining Infectious Grooves on all shows are French rock-blues duo, The Inspector Cluzo.

The Inspector Cluzo deliver a full throttle explosion of soulful, funk-influenced classic rock intensity and manage to do so without a bass player! Their highly energetic live show is renowned the world over and they have been personally selected by Infectious Grooves to join them on their upcoming Australian tour.

Formed in the Gascony region of France in 2007 when their bassist never showed up for practice and therefore continuing with just guitar and drums, Inspector Cluzo have retained a fully DIY attitude in every aspect. Handling their own management, booking, label and promotion since inception, even amidst their massively and steadily growing fanbase over the years.

Plus to make the Infectious Grooves tour even bigger, we can reveal that Jay Weinberg has been announced as the new drummer for Suicidal Tendencies!

When I think of the culture and community of heavy music that I’ve loved and considered my creative home for 20 years, I think of SUICIDAL TENDENCIES: a foundational pillar and source of inspiration ever since I fell in love with punk, metal, and hardcore.   Having toured and played shows together all over the world, I’ve been so fortunate to become friends with my musical heroes who have been a part of this band’s incredible history. See you all in the pit!”Jay Weinberg

To celebrate, IG have announced a tour exclusive Suicidal Tendencies 6 Pack set as part of the upcoming Australian dates, where fans will be the first to see Jay hit the skins in ST mode – joined on stage by 2 current and former Suicidal Tendencies bassists –  none other than
Tye Trujillo, performing iconic ST anthems alongside his Dad, Robert.

Infectious Grooves and Suicidal Tendencies on the same stage…

Boasting an all-star lineup of incredible players, Infectious Grooves are set to unleash an insane performance that sees them play their first shows globally in 5 years and their first in Australia since playing at Soundwave Festival in 2008, 16 long years ago!

The 2024 incarnation of Infectious Grooves is more potent than ever. Featuring original members, Suicidal Tendencies frontman, Mike Muir, and guitarist Dean Pleasants who are both fresh from a sold-out tour of Australia last November that celebrated the 40th Anniversary of ST’s debut album.

They will be accompanied by none other than founding bassist of Infectious GroovesRobert Trujillo who is making a long-awaited comeback to Australia. Trujillo’s last visit was over a decade ago with his warlord bandmates in on of the biggest bands on the planet—Metallica!

Adding extra groove on guitar will be Dave Kushner, best known for being part of the platinum selling supergroup Velvet Revolver. Dave is also part of the OG Infectious Grooves team having appeared on the track, Punk It Up from the bands debut album.

Anchoring the whole thing down is drummer Jay Weinberg, making his first live appearance after 10 years with the iconic metal band, Slipknot

Formed in 1989 by Mike Muir and Robert Trujillo of the legendary Californian heavy hitters, Suicidal Tendencies, along with long serving ST guitarist Dean Pleasants and drummer Stephen Perkins of Janes Addiction, Infectious Grooves inject a potent mix of funk and groove into their sound which instantly captivated audiences with their cross-genre appeal. With a cheeky touch of goofy humour, they became a force to be reckoned with in the international scene, delivering 4 albums between 1991 and 2000 and forever cementing their iconic status among fans worldwide.

With musical pedigree like that, you’re guaranteed an incredible night of funk-metal mayhem when Infectious Grooves come to blitzkrieg the house.
