This is the last night of Munt’s Towards Extinction East Coast Tour and they have put together a line up packed with local Aussie talent.

It was Wednesday night and I headed to Stay Gold in Brunswick for an intimate punk-rock / hardcore show to partake in some midweek madness, but with Melbourne’s once again gloomy weather, it was more like Stay Cold in Brunswick.

On Friday the 11th of October, I was invited to attend the sold-out show featuring metalcore giants August Burns Red at one of my favourite live music venues in Melbourne, 170 Russell.

On Friday night we made our way through the gloomy Melbourne weather to The Corner Hotel in Richmond for a night of musical debauchery in the form of Combichrist, with support from Brisbane’s Darkcell and a last-minute addition of Melbourne’s own Sirus. As expected, I arrived to find a sea of long black coats, PVC, face/body paint, dreadlocks, piercings and buckle heavy platform boots.

We find ourselves back at 170 Russel to experience yet another night of spicy nostalgia. In the recent trend of bands touring their hit albums from the 90's, we have UK’s Cradle of Filth performing Cruelty and the Beast, beginning to end.

The OMNIFIC is a three-piece progressive band from Melbourne, Australia. The band takes a different approach with their music, featuring two bassists and one drummer.
